Ready to reel in some of Panama City Beach's top inshore catches? Our 4-hour charter is the perfect way to get your line wet without eating up your whole day. Whether you're an early bird looking to hit the water at dawn or prefer an afternoon trip, we've got you covered. Capt. Alan knows these waters like the back of his hand and will put you right on the fish. Expect non-stop action as you target prized gamefish like redfish and speckled trout using light tackle and a mix of artificial lures and live bait. It's an ideal trip for families, beginners, or seasoned anglers looking to sharpen their inshore skills.
As soon as we shove off from the dock, you'll feel the excitement build. Capt. Alan will cruise you to some of PCB's most productive inshore spots – we're talking grass flats, oyster bars, and hidden creeks where the fish love to hang out. You'll be using light spinning gear, perfect for feeling every nibble and putting up a good fight when you hook into a big one. We'll show you how to work soft plastics, topwater lures, and live bait to entice those wary gamefish. And don't worry if you're new to this – Capt. Alan's got plenty of patience and knows how to break down the techniques so anyone can pick them up quick.
Inshore fishing is all about finesse and reading the water. We'll teach you how to spot those subtle signs that fish are nearby – like baitfish jumping or birds diving. You might find yourself sight-casting to tailing redfish in skinny water or working a popping cork for trout along a grass line. We'll mix up our approach based on what's biting, maybe even drifting live shrimp under a float or jigging soft plastics near structure. The key is staying versatile and adapting to what the fish want on any given day. And trust me, when you feel that first solid thump on your line, you'll be hooked for life.

Redfish: These copper-colored bruisers are the crown jewels of inshore fishing in PCB. Known for their powerful runs and distinctive black spot near the tail, redfish put up a fight that'll test your skills and leave you grinning. They love hanging around structure like docks and oyster bars, often giving themselves away with a telltale "tailing" behavior as they root for crabs in shallow water. Fall is prime time for big bull reds, but you can catch them year-round. There's nothing quite like the surge of adrenaline when a big red takes your bait and makes a run for it.
Speckled Trout: Also known as spotted seatrout, these sleek predators are a favorite among light tackle enthusiasts. With their speckled sides and canine-like teeth, specks are both beautiful and voracious feeders. They're often found in schools, so when you find one, get ready for fast action. Trout love to ambush bait in grass flats and around drops offs. They're known for their soft mouths, so a gentle hookset is key. The "gator" trout (big ones over 20 inches) are prized catches that'll test your finesse. Spring and fall are typically the best seasons, but we catch them year-round in PCB.
Look, I could go on all day about the thrill of inshore fishing in Panama City Beach, but nothing beats experiencing it firsthand. Our 4-hour trip is the perfect taste of what PCB has to offer – whether you're squeezing in some fishing between beach days or looking to introduce the kids to the sport. With Capt. Alan's expertise, top-notch gear, and a boat that'll get you comfortably to the fish, you're in for a treat. The beauty of inshore fishing is that it's accessible to all skill levels, and the action is often fast-paced. So why wait? The fish are biting, and we've got a spot on the boat with your name on it. Book now and get ready to make some lasting memories on the water. Trust me, once you feel that first redfish on the line, you'll be planning your next trip before we even hit the dock.

Sea trout, or speckled trout, are a blast to catch in the flats and grass beds around Panama City Beach. Most run 14-24 inches, but the big gator trout can top 5 pounds. You'll find them in water 3-6 feet deep, especially around drop-offs and channels. These fish are ambush predators, so look for them near structure where bait fish hang out. Spring and fall are peak seasons when the water temps are just right. Sea trout put up a good fight on light tackle, with head shakes and surface runs that'll keep you on your toes. Anglers love 'em for their aggressive strikes and tasty white meat. For best results, try a popping cork rig with a live shrimp or soft plastic underneath. Work it with sharp jerks to mimic wounded bait. When you feel that thump, set the hook fast - sea trout have soft mouths and can throw the hook easily if you're not quick!
Redfish are a favorite around here, growing up to 30-40 inches and putting up a great fight. You'll find them in shallow water, often just 1-4 feet deep, hanging around oyster beds, grass flats, and muddy bottoms. They love structure, so look for them near old docks or jetties too. Fall is prime time when they school up, but you can catch 'em year-round. Folks love targeting redfish because they hit hard and pull like a truck. Plus, they're delicious - mild, sweet flavor that's hard to beat. That distinctive black spot near the tail isn't just for looks - it helps confuse predators. If you want to land a big one, try sight fishing on calm days. Look for their tails sticking up as they root around in shallow water. Toss a gold spoon or soft plastic shrimp imitation right in front of their nose. Be ready for an explosive strike!
