Hey there, anglers! Ready for the ultimate fishing adventure in Panama City Beach? Our full day charter is where it's at. We're talking 8 to 10 hours of non-stop action, from inshore flats to offshore depths. No rush, no fuss – just you, the crew, and a boatload of fish waiting to be caught. Whether you're after the heart-pounding thrill of sight fishing for Tarpon or the raw power of battling a Goliath Grouper, we've got you covered. So grab your hat and sunscreen, and let's hit the water for a day you won't forget!
Picture this: The sun's barely up, and we're already on the move. We'll start the day prowling the flats, keeping our eyes peeled for those telltale signs of Redfish and Tarpon. There's nothing quite like the rush of spotting a big tail breaking the surface – gets your blood pumping every time. As the day heats up, we might push out deeper, switching gears to bottom fishing for some serious bruisers. The beauty of a full day trip is we can mix it up, follow the bite, and make sure you're on fish from sunup to sundown. And don't worry about watching the clock – we're out here to fish, not to rush.
We'll be using a variety of techniques to put you on fish all day long. In the shallows, it's all about finesse – light tackle, soft plastics, and maybe even fly fishing if that's your jam. We'll teach you the art of sight casting, helping you place that lure right where it needs to be. As we move offshore, we'll switch to bottom fishing tactics. You'll learn how to work a rod and reel combo to bounce baits off the seafloor, enticing those big grouper and snapper to bite. And if the conditions are right, we might even break out the trolling gear to cover some serious water. No matter your skill level, you'll walk away with new tricks up your sleeve.
Don't just take our word for it – here's what some happy anglers have to say about their trips:
"Great time on the water. Fastest I've ever caught fish. Caught our limit of red snapper in the first hour and had fun chasing amberjack (caught 5) the rest of the time" - Chris
"Allan was the absolute best guide, we had the best time. Will def be coming back!" - Haley
"Conditions were a a bit rough for our trip but Captain Alan still made the most of it for us and we had an awesome time. We'll be back next year!" - Jim
Grey Triggerfish: Don't let their small size fool you – these little fighters punch way above their weight class. Known for their tough, leathery skin and powerful jaws, Triggerfish are a blast to catch on light tackle. They hang around reefs and wrecks, so we'll be dropping baits right into their living room. The meat is sweet and flaky, making them a favorite for the dinner table too. Best part? They're available year-round, with peak season in the warmer months.
Red Snapper: The crown jewel of Gulf fishing, Red Snapper are the reason many anglers book a trip to Panama City Beach. These ruby-red beauties can grow up to 40 pounds, and they fight like crazy all the way to the boat. We target them around natural and artificial reefs, using live bait or cut bait to entice a bite. The season is short but sweet, usually opening in June for a couple of months. When we're on them, the action can be non-stop – it's not uncommon to limit out quickly, giving us time to target other species.
Gag Grouper: If you're looking for a true test of strength, Gag Grouper are your fish. These bottom-dwelling brutes are known for their powerful first run, often trying to wrap you around the nearest structure. We find them hanging around rocky bottoms and reef edges, typically in depths of 60 to 250 feet. Gags can grow up to 50 pounds or more, so be ready for a workout. The season usually runs from June through December, with the fall months being prime time as they move closer to shore.

Gag Grouper are bruisers that love structure. You'll find them around reefs, rocks, and wrecks from 60 feet on out to a couple hundred feet deep. They start small inshore but the big ones, 20-40 pounds, are offshore. Best fishing is fall through winter when they're spawning. Gags are prized for their fight and fantastic meat. When you hook one, it's all muscle – they'll try to bull their way back to their hole. The key is to use heavy gear and stop 'em before they get there. Live bait is best, like pinfish or mullet. Here's a local trick: when you feel the bite, don't set the hook right away. Let them eat it for a second, then reel down and lift. Once you've got 'em coming up, don't give an inch. It's a real tug-of-war, but man, is it worth it when you get that big gag in the boat.
Grey Triggerfish are tough little fighters you'll find around reefs and wrecks, usually 60-180 feet down. They're not the biggest catch, averaging 1-2 feet long, but what they lack in size they make up for in attitude. These guys have sharp teeth and will put up a scrappy fight all the way to the boat. Best time to target them is late spring through fall when the water warms up. Anglers love 'em for their tasty white meat and the challenge of hooking one. They're notorious bait stealers, so here's a tip: use a small, strong circle hook with a piece of squid. Let them nibble a bit before setting the hook. Once you feel that telltale tap-tap, reel fast and steady. Keep your rod tip up to avoid letting them duck back into structure. It's a fun, technical catch that'll keep you on your toes.
Red Snapper are the prize of the Gulf, no doubt about it. These beautiful red fish usually hang out 60-300 feet deep around reefs and wrecks. Most we catch are 5-10 pounds, but they can get up to 30-40 pounds if you're lucky. They're open seasonally, typically in summer, so check the regs before you go. Snappers put up a good fight and taste amazing, which is why everyone wants to catch them. They're smart fish, so you've got to outsmart them. My go-to trick is using fresh cut bait like cigar minnows or squid. Drop it right to the bottom, then reel up a few cranks. When you feel that distinctive thump, set the hook hard and start reeling. Be ready for them to dive for cover – you've got to turn their heads fast or you'll lose 'em in the rocks.
